Privacy notice

Placeholder wording — awaiting legal review. This page is a draft written to describe how QuoteLock works. It is not legal advice, it does not confirm compliance with any law or standard, and it is not a statement about approval by any payment provider. A qualified adviser must review and replace it before launch.

This placeholder notice explains, in outline, how QuoteLock processes personal data for UK installation businesses and the homeowners who enquire with them. Final wording will be provided before launch.

Who controls your data

The trade business using QuoteLock is the data controller for its homeowner enquiries, quotes and acceptance records. QuoteLock acts as processor on that business's instructions.

What we process

Enquiry details (name, contact details, property address, job description and photographs), quote contents, acceptance evidence (timestamp, IP address and the accepted version) and deposit payment metadata. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never stored by QuoteLock.

Retention and your rights

Records are retained while the workspace is active and for a period afterwards to support contractual and accounting obligations. Homeowners may exercise UK GDPR rights by contacting the trade business, or us where we can assist.
